We’ve been home for just over a month and it’s been cold and rainy and a typical Melbourne winter.
The sun shone a little yesterday. Long enough for me to hang out some washing.
The kids love playing in the garden. I can’t wait to get organised enough to plant stuff in it.
The picture above may be a picture of suburban mundaneness, but it is what I longed for while we were in India. I’m living the dream.
We need a lawn-mower though. Not just for that patch of grass under the clothes-line, but for the paddock outside the gate that we are responsible for.
Millar is sick. So am I, again. It seems we are catching every bug Melbourne has to offer as a welcome home gift. I’m a bit over it myself, but listening to Millar cough all night is heartbreaking. Poor boy.
I’m looking forward to spring and the warmth it promises. Hopefully by then we will have settled into our routine and there will be more time for backyard play and beautifully wind blown clothes.
It’s the simple things.

There is something really special about suburban mundaneness, that every day routine can be so soothing. Hope you are all better soon.
totally soothing!
Thanks Marita
Sometimes the mundane is the biggest winner of all.
Also, we have caught all of the lurgies too and it is bullshit!! Hope you guys are much better soon xoxox

Lurgies begone!
Suburban mundaneness sounds like my version of heaven

Aw, this was a very nice post. Taking the time and actual effort to produce a top notch article… but what can
I say… I hesitate a lot and don’t seem to get anything done.
