Gosh it’s cold! But we are really, really, like REALLY happy to be home.
The jetlag is immense and the kids are up until 10pm each night but they don’t get up until 9-10am in the morning, so that’s nice. (I am not suggesting that Xanthe is suddenly sleeping through the night, because she isn’t.)
Our first dinner was the good old meat pie with sauce and some mixed vege. I WILL remember how to cook eventually, but even this tasted like a culinary masterpiece after all the room service crap we have been eating.
We don’t have anywhere to live yet, so are staying in a holiday park which is costing $1000 per week. *gulp*. But we have applications on two rentals and hope that those get processed at three times the normal speed.
Millar starts kindergarten on Monday, so I would LOVE to be in a proper house by then, but it’s Thursday already, so it’s highly unlikely.
The kids are enjoying playing in parks and I’m enjoying rugging them up in cute pyjamas.
I still have more of India to share, but right now, I just want to find somewhere to live. Here. In Melbourne.

Oh yay!! Home! Meat pies!!!! Good luck with the rental applications, I hope you get a good place approved quickly so you can settle down and get back into reality! hehe
ah! The good old pie’n'sauce.
Welcome home. I hope you find a place quickly. $1000 per week!! Sheesh.
